Our first days of school were successful! We talked about different emotions....happy, sad, angry, curious, shy, etc. We learned that God loves us all the time, when we are happy, when we are sad, and even when we are angry. It was very neat to witness their reactions to this news. It's such a great feeling knowing that we are loved all the time!
Preschooler: "Grandma!"
Mrs. Ullestad: "My name is Mrs. Ullestad. Can you say that?"
A few minutes later....
Preschooler: "Grandma?"
Preschooler: "Hey, hey, hey!"
Mrs. Halverson: "My name is Mrs. Halverson. Can you say Mrs. Halverson?"
Preschooler: "No."
Preschooler: "Can I have an underdog?"
Mrs. Halverson: "Not today, because there is a puddle under the swing."
Preschooler: "But that grandma teacher does underdogs."
I also answered to "Mom," "Mrs. Calf-er-son," and "Come here, Lady!"
But a few of them seem to already have it figured out! ;)
Preschooler, on his way home from school: "Olivia's mommy is really named Mrs. Halverson. I like her. She has very pretty clothes."
And my favorite quote of the week is actually from our kindergarten teacher!
Mrs. Koenen: "What's your name?"
Preschooler: "I'm (states name). I'm four."
Mrs. Koenen: "Mrs. Koenen, fifty-six."
Here are a few other pictures of our first days. I will post more soon!
