Build

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
-1 Thessalonians 5:9

Just as we are learning to use our hands to build blocks up, we are also learning to use our words and actions to build one another up, just as God has called us to do!

Afternoon Class Harvest Party!

I am the room mother in my daughter's kindergarten classroom, so I had the privilege of organizing her Harvest Party. Although I really enjoyed being with her for her party, I was disappointed that I had to miss the afternoon class's party. I heard they did a lot of fun things. A very special thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped Mrs. U in my absence.
Here's a picture of what I was up to at the kindergarten party!
I was able to snap a few quick pictures of the preschool class during our all school parade!

 Happy Harvest!

Harvest Party - Monday/Wednesday/Friday Class

The Monday/Wednesday/Friday Class had their Harvest Party on the Wednesday before Halloween. A very special thank you to all of the parent volunteers who made the party so special! We all had a blast!
Parading through the school in our costumes!

Coloring on pumpkins!

Yummy (and messy) cupcakes!
Our whole class all dressed up!
And now with our masks up, so you can see who's who!
Happy Harvest!

Pumpkin Pie Scented Playdough

A very very special thank you to Hannah's mom, Traci, for making Pumpkin Pie Scented Playdough for our classroom! It's the most popular center!

Here is the recipe...
Ingredients:
*5 1/2 cups flour
* 2 cups salt
*8 teaspoons cream of tartar
*3/4 cup vegetable oil
*1 container (1 1/2 ounces) pumpkin pie spice
*orange food coloring (2 parts yellow/1 part red)
*4 cups water
Instructions:
1. Mix all the ingredients together.
2. Cook in saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until lumps disappear.
3. Let cool just long enough so that you can kneed the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
